Program Objective
The course objective is to improve leadership capability by creating more aware leaders who make deeper investments in the human domain while aligning mission and values.

Students in programs with a capstone select a research topic and learn the tools and concepts needed to complete a Futures Portfolio.

Examine a significant challenge affecting an agency, community, region, or the broader profession. Research moves beyond the visible symptoms to identify root causes, emerging influences, and practical strategies for stronger future outcomes.
Emerging Issues and Future Readiness
Identify a developing issue that may shape the future of law enforcement. Use foresight tools to scan the horizon, understand possible effects, and develop proactive strategies before the challenge fully reaches the organization.

The National Command & Staff College partners with the American Council on Education and Credly to provide eligible graduates with a digital version of their educational credential.
The certification badge is available to:
- Graduates of the Command & Staff Leadership Program.
- Graduates of the NTOA Command College program that included Command & Staff as its core leadership component.
The badge includes verified metadata describing the qualification and the process required to earn it. Graduates may share it with universities, employers, professional networks, digital resumes, email signatures, LinkedIn, Facebook, and X.

You will receive an email notification from the Acclaim Platform at admin@youracclaim.com with instructions for claiming your badge and setting up your account.
What if I do not want my badge to be public?
You can configure your privacy settings within the Acclaim Platform. You remain in control of what information is made public.
Is there a fee to use Credly's Acclaim Platform?
No. This service is provided to eligible graduates at no cost through the college.
What prevents someone else from copying my badge?
The badge is uniquely linked to verified data hosted on Credly's platform, connecting the credential to the individual who earned it.
Where and how can I share my badge?
You can share your badge on LinkedIn, Facebook, X, email, a website, a digital resume, or your email signature.
Can I export my badge?
Yes. You can download the badge from the Share Badge page. The downloaded file contains Open Badge Infrastructure-compliant metadata.
Can I import badges from another platform?
Not at this time. The platform does not currently allow badge uploads from third-party credential providers.
Where do I receive graduate-level college transfer?
The program carries an ACE recommendation for six graduate-level semester hours. Final acceptance is determined by the receiving college or university.
