Session #32: The Next Generation of Leaders Has Arrived

Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office, Louisiana | Graduation: November 7, 2025

Leadership doesn’t happen by chance. It happens through challenge, reflection, and the willingness to grow when it would be easier to stay the same.

Last week, that kind of growth was on full display in Ascension Parish, Louisiana, as Session #32 of the Command & Staff Leadership Program crossed the finish line — not as students, but as leaders reborn through purpose and perseverance.

Hosted by Sheriff Bobby Webre and the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office, this session represented more than training hours and coursework. It was a proving ground for courage, character, and conviction — a journey that tested the heart as much as the mind.

A Program That Redefines Leadership

The Command & Staff Leadership Program, developed by the National Command & Staff College, isn’t just another professional development course. It’s an immersive leadership experience that transforms how public safety professionals think, act, and lead.

Each participant in Session #32 completed 240 hours of online coursework and 80 hours of intensive in-person residency — blending science, service, and self-awareness into one mission-driven journey.

These fourteen graduates came from across Louisiana — and even beyond the United States — representing:
Orleans Parish • Ouachita Parish • St. Charles Parish • Ascension Parish • Lafourche Parish • Lafayette Police Department • Dominican Republic Navy

Together, they formed a brotherhood and sisterhood of leaders who now carry forward a shared language of resilience, accountability, and hope.

Every class produces remarkable leaders, but Session #32 stood out for its exceptional commitment to excellence.

More Than a Graduation — A Transformation

The true power of this program lies not in the diploma, but in the transformation it ignites.

Graduates leave with more than leadership theory — they walk away with a new way of seeing themselves and those they serve. They learn how to bend without breaking, how to build trust before authority, and how to find calm in chaos.

Each graduate now carries forward the mission of MAGNUS Leadership — built upon three pillars of the MAGNUS OVEA Theory:

  • MAGNANIMITY (Compass): Serving with empathy and integrity.

  • MAGNUSITY (Armor): Building resilience and emotional strength.

  • MAGNUSHIP (Mission): Leading with clarity and purpose under pressure.

Together, these principles form the backbone of elastic leadership — the kind that sustains teams, communities, and organizations in a rapidly changing world.

Leadership That Spreads Beyond Borders

Leadership That Spreads Beyond Borders

Perhaps the most inspiring part of Session #32 was its reach. With representation from the Dominican Republic Navy, this class bridged not just parishes — but nations.

It reminded everyone in that room that leadership speaks a universal language. The commitment to serve, protect, and elevate others transcends geography, uniform, and culture.
